| Waverly Health Center Volunteers - We Need You! |
| Volunteering at the Waverly Health Center is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Now, more than ever, small local hospitals rely on volunteers to provide services that help to keep the institution strong and viable. Volunteers at WHC decide how they want to help and how much time they are willing to give. Some of our volunteers work as little as once or twice a year and others work as much as 3 times a week. |  |

| Waverly Health Center Auxiliary |
 The Waverly Health Center Auxiliary raises funds for the benefit of Waverly Health Center and provides scholarships for students interested in health care careers. A variety of equipment, furnishings and other items have been purchased for the Health Center by the Auxiliary. Many necessary items that did not fit in the health center’s budget were made possible by donations from the Auxiliary.
Most of the active volunteers at Waverly Health Center are members of the Auxiliary. They participate in a wide range of activities from clerking in the Gift Shop to driving the VIP golf cart. We are proud to have more than 200 members in our auxiliary. |

| Auxiliary members are also given the opportunity to participate in Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) programs throughout the year. Legislative Day occurs in February and provides auxilians with the chance to interact with their legislators and stay to up date on the latest health care issues. Other state-wide and local meetings are sponsored by the IHA throughout the year to allow auxiliaries from various hospitals to interact and exchange ideas. |

The mission of the Waverly Health Center Auxiliary is to develop and maintain an efficient, competent, and humanistic volunteer program. We will assist the staff to ensure an extra dimension of care and service to patients with our presence and our financial support in a responsible manner.

| New Volunteer Opportunities |
Volunteer Baking: Use the Family Kitchen to bake cookies,bread or muffins for our patients, family members and visitors.
Arts in Healing: Share your talkents in music, art or storytelling with our patients, visitors and staff.
Treat Trolley: Sell beverages and snacks from the Treat Trolley to staff, patients and visitors. The Treat Trolley is parked in two locations daily. Shifts are available Monday - Friday, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Patient Ambassador: Meet with patients to review the Patient Information Folder. Explain the available services and answer questions from patients and family members. Volunteers will assist patients Monday - Friday in the late afternoons or early evenings. Length of volunteering will depend on the number of patients.
